A blind mystic who many claim predicted 9/11, the rise of ISIS, the Boxing Day tsumani and Brexit also foresaw two major events in 2018.
Bulgarian Baba Vanga — who died in 1996 at the age of 85 — is well known among conspiracy theorists who believe she foretold natural disasters and global events long before they occurred.
Before she died, Baba — dubbed the “Nostradamus from the Balkans” — left predictions up to the 51st century, when she believed the world would end.
For 2018, she foresaw two world-changing events.
They were that China will become the world’s next “superpower,” taking over from the US, and “a new form of energy” will be discovered on Venus.
So could these predictions actually come true?
China’s economy has been steadily expanding over the last few years.
In 1970, the country made up just 4.1 percent of the total world’s economy, but this rose to 15.6 percent in 2015 and it is continuing to rise.
It has not yet overtaken the US, but could soon do so.
In 2015, the US contributed 16.7 percent of the world’s economy, but this is expected to fall to 14.9 percent in 2025, according to Forbes.
When it comes to Venus, there are no current plans to send a space mission there.
However, the Parker Solar Probe, named after solar astrophysicist Eugene Parker, is scheduled to launch in July 2018 and will investigate the outer corona of the sun.
While it won’t land on Venus, it will use the planet’s gravitational force to pass around the sun.
The craft’s mission is to determine the structure of the magnetic fields at the sources of solar wind, trace the flow of energy that heats the plasma surrounding the sun and explore dusty plasma and its influence on solar wind and energetic particle formation.
Baba Vanga is said to have predicted 9/11 by claiming “two steel birds” would attack the “American brethren.”
She reportedly said: “Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush and innocent blood will be gushing.”
She was also said to have foreseen Brexit when she said Europe as we know it will “cease to exist” by the end of 2016, and she warned of the rise of an extremist Muslim army that would invade Europe, thought to refer to the rise of ISIS.
However, last year it was claimed she said that Barack Obama would be the “last American president,” which falsely led some to believe Donald Trump would never be sworn in.
Other future events Baba warned the world about include the end of world hunger by 2028, Mars’ colonies gaining nuclear weapons by 2256 and Earth becoming unhabitable from 2341.
These are the future predictions from Baba Vanga:
Global hunger will start to be eradicated between 2025 and 2028.
From 2033 to 2045, the polar ice caps will melt, causing ocean levels to rise. At the same time, Muslims will rule Europe and the world economy will grow.
The rise of cloning will mean doctors can cure any disease. The US will launch an attack on Muslim Rome using a climate-based “instant freezing” weapon.
Between 2072 and 2086, a classless, Communist society will thrive hand in hand with newly restored nature.
Between 2170 and 2256, a Mars colony will become a nuclear power and demand independence from the Earth. Back on Earth, an underwater city will be built and something “terrible” will be discovered during the search for alien life.
Sometime between 2262 and 2304, we’ll crack time travel.
From 2341, a series of natural and man-made disasters will make Earth uninhabitable. But humans will escape to another solar system and wars will be waged.
From 4302 to 4674, humans are immortal and have assimilated with aliens. The 340 billion people scattered throughout the universe can talk to God.
In 5079, the universe will end.

RESEARCH MEASURES HOW NATURE AND ACTIVITY AFFECT BRAIN DEVELOPMENT IN CHILDREN

Nature’s influence on physical brain structure and mental health may be much more powerful than we give it credit. Yes, it has a way of helping people unwind, but it also seems to affect actual brain development in children.
Researchers at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) published a new study on children in primary schools. They discovered that children raised in homes surrounded by greenery had more white and grey matter in the brain. Typically, scientists associate this type of brain matter with increased cognitive function.
Green Spaces Support Brain Development in Children
ISGlobal partnered with Hospital del Mar in Spain and UCLA Fielding School of Public Health (UCLA FSPH) to study the effects of green spaces on children. The study encompassed 253 school children in Barcelona, Spain. It is part of ISGlobal’s BREATHE project, which aims to study the impact of air pollution in cities on cognitive development.
The study adds to growing evidence suggesting that early life exposure to green space and other environmental factors can exert measurable and lasting effects on our health through the life course.” ~ Michael Jerrett, department chair and professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the UCLA FSPH
To measure lifetime exposure to greenery, researchers used satellite information based on the children’s addresses from birth through time of study. Further, they used high-resolution 3D magnetic resonance images (MRI) to study the participants’ brain anatomy. Finally, they evaluated working memory and inattentiveness using computer tests.
green spaces and children's brainsImage source: https://www.isglobal.org
Dr. Paya Dadvand from ISGlobal is the lead author of the study, which was also published in Environmental Health Perspectives. He states:
This is the first study that evaluates the association between long-term exposure to greenspace and brain structure. Our findings suggest that exposure to greenspace early in life could result in beneficial structural changes in the brain.
UCLA FSPH published the study findings, which stated:
The data analysis showed that long-term exposure to greenness was positively associated with white and grey matter volume in some parts of the brain that partly overlapped with those associated with higher scores on cognitive tests. Moreover, peak volumes of white and grey matter in the regions associated with greenspace exposure predicted better working memory and reduced inattentiveness.
This study adds to many others that suggest nature and greenery benefit human well-being, including cognitive and behavioral development. For example, another study from the University of Illinois showed that physical activity in green spaces significantly decreased ADHD symptoms in children when compared to the same activities in any other setting.
Physical Activity and Children’s Working Memory
In another study that’s part of the BREATHE project, researchers found that a low level of physical activity at preschool and primary-school age is associated with poorer working-memory performance at primary-school age and in adolescence, respectively.
ISGlobal published the following findings:
The study found that children who had a low level of extracurricular physical activity at 6 years of age scored significantly lower on memory tests during adolescence than their more active peers. The same association was found in 7-year-olds who had had low levels of physical activity at age 4 years, although the effect size was smaller.
Scientists associate working memory with our ability to retain information in the short term for cognitive processing. It is one of the most important functions of learning and academic achievement.
Another study from University of British Columbia showed that children who play outside are more likely to care about the environment as adults. Therefore, physical activity outside in nature is likely the optimal environment for young children.
One can only hope that more primary schools take heed to this type of research, and follow the example of this Texas school that tripled recess time, solving attention deficit disorder.
Final Thoughts
Researchers now have more concrete evidence that existence of and activity in outside green spaces benefit brain development in children. These studies send a message that we must transform our cities to include more parks, nature paths, trees and gardens. They are a testament to the importance of giving people access to natural, green environments.
Those of us who consistently spend time in green spaces have an inner knowing of nature’s “magic.” It may be the extra oxygen and the abundance of colors; it may be the effervescence of life and sound. Whatever the means, nature acts as a medium to help us disconnect from the stresses and tensions of everyday life. It gives us an immense sense of calm and helps us be present in the moment. And children are definitely not excluded from these phenomenon.

Dopamine is the brain’s feel good chemical, sending feelings of well-being and pleasure into your body. In addition to simply making you feel good, dopamine helps control weight, energy levels, and supports brain and heart health. Without it, we would be more fat, unhappy, and tired. But if you know how to increase dopamine levels, you can take advantage of this feel good chemical on command. The best part? You can increase dopamine levels just by eating certain foods.
Fat, unhappy, and tired—those words seem to fit many Americans quite well. Fortunately, boosting dopamine production levels could help. The right amount of dopamine could lift you from depression, help you lose weight, and put some life back into your life.
How to Increase Dopamine Levels Through Foods and Activity
But, how can you boost dopamine levels naturally? Since dopamine is synthesized from tyrosine, you can simply consume foods rich in tyrosine to boost dopamine production. Certain foods help balance dopamine levels, including:
Fish – Evidence suggest Omega 3 fats may be linked to dopamine production
Eggs – Contains tyrosine
Spirulina – Contains tyrosine
Red beets – Contain betaine, acting as an antidepressant, and tyrosine
Apples – Contain quercetin, to prevent neurodegeneration and boost dopamine
Kale – Rich in folate, to trigger dopamine production
Oregano Oil – Has promising effects on mood swings and cravings by increasing dopamine levels
Bananas – Including the amino acid tyrosine, which boosts dopamine
Strawberries and blueberries – Include tyrosine, like bananas
Green tea – Contains polyphenols, good for brain and heart function, as well as dopamine production
Herbs like ginkgo biloba, nettles, dandelion, and ginseng
Another solution for how to increase dopamine levels and flood your brain with this feel-good chemical is exercise. When you exercise, the cells in your brain (and the rest of your body) start firing, becoming more energized. You also produce more serotonin and dopamine—both crucial in mood elevation. Some credit these chemicals with what’s known as the “runner’s high”, common in endurance athletes. But we do know they make you feel good, and a sense of wellbeing and happiness can increase your physical health in turn.
Alternatively, you could also take supplements to boost dopamine, although foods and exercise may be the two best and most beneficial options. Some of the supplements options to increase dopamine levels are:
Ginkgo Biloba – Ginkgo can increase dopamine while enhancing oxygen flow and blood flow to the brain – promoting healthy transmission of nerve impulses.
Phenylalnine – This essential amino acid can convert in the body to tyrosine, which is sued to synthesize dopamine.
Tyrosine – What people often want in food to boost dopamine, tyrosine can also be taken as a supplement. Tyrosine is converted from phenylalnine.
What you put in your body and how you use your body determines how you feel. While a medical doctor would be quick to prescribe an anti-depressant if he felt you had a depression chemical imbalance (which some experts say doesn’t exist) like dopamine deficiency, that prescription would likely be completely unnecessary. Instead, through a healthy, whole foods diet and regular exercise, you can boost your mood and attain overall wellness.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter found in the brain that stimulates happiness and excitability and can improve your overall contentedness. Dopamine is the chemical in the brain triggered by several drugs, including cocaine and alcohol, to create the sensation of happiness. According to the Brookhaven National Laboratory, obesity may result from individuals eating to stimulate dopamine levels. Fortunately, dopamine production can be stimulated naturally, without resorting to dangerous and illegal drugs or overeating.

I can release dopamine in my brain just thinking about it. I had a amazing revaluation while studying MBTI and thanking about dopamine and suddenly I had a big bang dopamine explode in my head and the effects lasted for hours. The release was so intense It was like a orgasm, getting high and other things all at once! It was so strong my head was beginning to hurt but it felt so good. Every since I can get my brain to produce dopamine just thinking about it. I guess you can say I had my dopamine cherry popped so now I can control it. When I release the dopamine it's not like the explosion but it's always enough to get me to feel high and focused. When I was reading something I've noticed my reading speeds was 3x as faster than usual.
